Finance Manager – Home Entertainment and Localisation

The Home Entertainment team is responsible for the sales, distribution and marketing of up to 30 cinematic new release per year in the physical home entertainment category along with the large library slate across Disney and 20th Century brands and 3rd party distribution deals.

The Localisation team is responsible for consolidating costs involved in showing content locally across Media Networks, Disney+ and Motion Pictures in EMEA, e.g. dubbing, subtitling etc. The role involves liaising with key stakeholders to provide insight when there are potential rate increases and governance changes to rate cards.

The role manages the effective, timely and accurate delivery in the EMEA Centre of Excellence of AOP, Forecast, FYP and close across a group of markets with a variety of business models (vertical, hybrid, licensed). The finance manager must be able to apply business knowledge and insights to data to assess implications on financials and has responsibility for managing two analysts and an intern.

Key Role Requirements:

Delivery
• Analyse and interpret Localisation and Home Entertainment business information to identify high level trends and issues
• Consolidate localisation data across EMEA and different lines of businesses to provide support to Senior Management
• Contribute to projects beyond the finance function using professional expertise to support, advise and guide others as part of cross-functional project teams
• Review existing processes and actively challenge the status quo, providing proposals for process/systems improvement that will positively impact business effectiveness assisting the Director of Home Entertainment Finance in identifying the best approaches across both 20th Century and Disney to ensure the processes are best in class.
• Manage end-to-end processes within a full planning cycle (e.g. forecasting, AOP, reporting, close etc) to ensure the effective financial management of the business area
• Manage, maintain and recommend improvements to financial systems, partnering with IT to ensure systems are fit for purpose
• Manage complex projects beyond the immediate scope of the role to deliver improved business processes or systems with a business area

Business Partnership
• Develop and deliver Localisation and Home Entertainment financial presentations for key business stakeholders both in regional as well as within markets as part of the centre of excellence to inform thinking about future business management
• Build relationships with key business stakeholders to provide guidance and influence their thinking around future business direction

Team Management
• Manage the analysts and intern to ensure effective accurate and timely delivery of financial processes around the key cycles of Budget, Forecast, FYP and close.
• Manage, motivate and develop a team to deliver effective transactional, process and analytical support to the business area
• Share knowledge effectively across the function to facilitate good financial management and support the development of others

Qualifications
• ACCA / CIMA qualification required
