Director, Talent Relations (Disney Branded Television)

Disney Branded Television (DBT) encompasses the creative storytellers and production and content marketing teams responsible for Disney-branded television series, movies and other programming spanning live-action, animated and unscripted formats. The group fuels the Disney+ streaming platform and Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior linear networks with content geared toward kids, tweens, teens and families.

DBT is seeking a Director of Talent Relations to join the team, reporting to the Vice President of Talent Relations. This person will be responsible for building relationships with talent and producers, managing talent outreach, providing VIP-level talent support, and managing large-scale logistics and high-volume gifting.

Responsibilities:
• Act as a key liaison and contact for talent and their representatives, interfacing regularly to maximize strategic talent participation in brand initiatives.
• Manage talent outreach for shoots, corporate events, synergy priorities, corporate citizenship, and other promotional activities.
• Curate and manage VIP guest lists for special events, in collaboration with PR teams.
• Manage selection of custom/personalized gifts and oversee execution of a high-volume gifting program (start of production, premiere, talent birthday, awards, congrats, milestones, etc.).
• Plan talent dinners, receptions and outings for casts, producers and leadership.
• Provide white-glove concierge service to current talent roster, including fulfillment of requests for Disney Parks visits, VIP events, perks, and other special requests.
• Collaborate with VP and across other Disney Talent Relations teams on establishing Talent Relations best practices.
• Work with travel team and department coordinator to arrange talent transportation and glam, including management of detailed itineraries for talent appearances.
• Manage project-based budgets, including negotiating and tracking.
• Route talent marketing approvals, troubleshoot talent concerns and find solutions to address issues in real-time.
• Provide on-the-ground support for talent at shoots, events, and appearances, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
• 8+ years of talent relations experience.
• Validated history as a trusted advisor in the entertainment industry.
• Proven ability to partner and influence across internal teams (Marketing, PR, Social, Awards, Synergy, Corporate, Content) as well as interface with high-level executives.
• Ability to anticipate and strategically respond to potential talent challenges.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong time management skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including potential weekend/holidays and travel.
• Experience working with minors and understanding of labor laws highly preferred.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $112,100 to $150,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
