A dedicated, dynamic, and seasoned director is needed for the Global Publicity team. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted position that requires creativity, improvisation, organization, and communication at a very high level. This leadership role will oversee and manage LA Press team according to EVP's strategic PR priorities, aligned with Company's evolving business objectives. This position may require some non-traditional working hours (early morning/weekends), light travel and on field level work at events, including premieres, screenings & junket.
Job Responsibilities:
• Serve as day-to-day lead for LA Press team including (1) Sr. Publicist, (1) Jr. Publicist and (1) Assistant, working across all titles, theatrical, Disney+ and Hulu.
• Working with SVP, execute and manage strategy across all films including set visits, long lead campaigns, screening plans, fast breaking press, and LA based appearances.
• Manage national press based in Los Angeles for premieres, junkets, conventions, and specialty events.
• Head of media relations in Los Angeles for domestic press including TV, print, online and radio.
• Responsible for LA press screenings, including managing lists, attendance, and reactions.
• Oversee staffing for LA Press Team at premieres, junkets, awards shows, conventions, etc.
• Manage and execute strategy, as well as supervising the team, to remain on marketing messaging across theatrical and Disney+.
• Updates Sr VP daily and weekly on PR activities and initiatives.
Requirements:
• 8 or more years' experience in the entertainment industry, in theatrical and/or streaming publicity
• Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong organization and communication skills are required to interface effectively with internal and external parties.
• Experience interfacing with high level executives and filmmakers.
The hiring range for this position in [location] is $139,742 to $180,842 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
