About the Role:
As the competition & tournaments manager you will oversee the league management, implementation and development of systems and processes. You will also get hands on experience in project management, product management, data analytics, strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, governance, contracts, and leadership engagement.
Context:
We operate a high-quality live sports league which is watched by millions of customers across millions of devices, all of which are constantly evolving and changing. As we continue to hit milestones and increase the consumption of the league, we plan to add a long-term growth strategy for the sports league.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead various strategic initiatives of the business including key stakeholder management, project plan management and systems management.
• Work with the team on setting yearly and project-based objectives for Mashal Sports.
• Business planning and strategy development including creating plans and reports.
• Understanding the viewership ecosystem in India and continuous evaluation of changes in the marketplace.
• Keep a close watch on movements across genres, market-wise behavior, profile and universe changes etc.
• Analyzing viewership of sports events/shows in detail across markets & target groups.
• Leveraging data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights. Identify key growth areas for the business.
• Derive learnings from past case studies – codifying successes and failures.
• Developing strategy for the business and designing solutions as required. Identifying macro trends.
• Developing and tracking health metrics for the business.
• Match scheduling to create an optimized season schedule to maximize viewership.
• Player Policy formulation and implementation to meet long term and short-term league objectives of the organization.
• Data analytics to understand fans, fan segmentation and create reports for leadership on performance of the business on key viewership and competitiveness KPIs.
• Impact assessment of various initiatives undertaken by the league.
• Product innovations to enhance gameplay, fan engagement and to increase value proposition.
• Work with internal & external stakeholders to explore new engagement/development avenues during and in the off season with the objective to build fan bases and enhance spectator experience.
• Provide operational support on projects as may be required.

• Measurables as set out in the business objectives for Mashal Sports and for individual projects.
• Seamless delivery of projects.
• Work on multiple projects at the same time without compromising on the excellence of output.
• Strict adherence to timelines.
• Accuracy in brief and execution
Qualifications:
• 6-8 years' experience in Media & Entertainment. Sports experience preferred.
• Experience with viewership metrics including BARC metrics and OTT KPIs
• A fair understanding of Media and Entertainment Industry (Linear broadcasting and OTT)
• Experience in Software development including waterfall and agile methodology.
• Experience in database management including ability to query databases using SQL, server management and data integration management.
• Understanding of CRM systems and fan segmentation.
