Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering Disney's entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and leading a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also leads technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

The Business Engagement & Data Solutions team is responsible for data taxonomy, governance, and insights. With a focus on delivering business value, the team leverages data across the content lifecycle to provide smart solutions to support business decisions and workflow efficiencies for the Distribution Operations business.

Job Summary:

The Business Engineer II embodies expertise as a meticulous data analyst and scientist. This role serves as a data partner to cross-functional operations teams by developing visualizations through the aggregation and manipulation of complex, disparate data sources.

A significant facet of the role encompasses data engineering-including the construction of data architectures of hundreds of sources and integration of disparate systems. This role must be able to quickly understand the business systems, processes, and complex data sets to support the requests of the operations teams.

Responsibilities:
• Write code to automate processes and build data tools using SQL, ETL, Javascript, and Python.
• Build complex data connections and aggregations utilizing data science tools EG ML, JSON, API.
• Conduct advanced data analysis, modeling, A/B tests, and experimentation to derive actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making.
• Develop and deploy predictive models to forecast future trends, behavior, or outcomes based on historical data.
• Design, build and improve Machine Learning models within third-party applications.
• Support across organization with troubleshooting & debugging for existing ETL's, code, data visuals and dashboards.
• Develop and deploy dashboards, reports, and other BI applications using various programming languages and frameworks, leading to actionable insights communicated clearly and visually.
• Project coordination and documentation, including project plans, process flows, roadmaps / development diaries, and Post-Implementation review (PIR)
• Aggregate & align vast data arrays to produce new datasets and reports to drive BI (visuals, campaigns, dashboards).
• Work end-to-end from data collection, forecasting, and visualization.

Basic Requirements:
• A minimum of 3-years' experience with Data Science/Data Analytics
• Data Visualization experience required (EG Tableau, Domo, Power BI, or equivalent)
• Data Engineering experience required (EG ETL, SQL, Python, or equivalent)
• Project Management experience
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e. Systems Engineering, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field)

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $85,300 - $114,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
