Audio Mixer Marketing Operations (Disney Entertainment Television)

Job Summary:

The Marketing Operations Audio Mixer is responsible for mixing, leveling, and outputting Broadcast and digital promotional assets used to entice viewers to watch original and acquired programming and subscribe to streaming platforms. This role also provides advanced technical post production services for recording and mixing key marketing assets for Disney Entertainment Television Marketing, including promotional and advertising assets used in paid media plans, B2B Advertising Sales events, Investor Day summits, and experiential consumer events. The Audio Mixer is the last person to touch promotional content before it airs and plays a critical role in ensuring every marketing asset is accurate and on spec.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, mix and export OMF and AAF timelines submitted by various offline teams using Pro Tools as needed

Track industry innovations and trends that could benefit our work in this constantly changing technical environment

Assist in the development of departmental media workflows, delivery processes

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years' experience in television audio post production.

Minimum 5 years working Pro Tools Ultimate 2024.3 or greater, with S6 Control Surface.

Must possess working knowledge of technical HD broadcast standards (including LKFS metering and restrictions)

Must possess working knowledge of DK Meters, and Dolby Delivery specifications

Must be proficient with sound effects packages and sound design

Must be proficient in various computer software, including PC & Mac environments

Must be able to work the night shift 1:30pm -10pm Monday -Friday with occasional weekends.

Must live within a commutable distance of Prospect Studios in Los Feliz this role is onsite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Disney Entertainment experience

Working knowledge of Premiere Pro and AVID

5.1 and ATMOS Surround Sound mixing experience

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $77,100 to $103,400 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
