About

The Consumer Insights Team is a critical department within the organization that focuses on gaining a deep understanding of consumers and their preferences. Its primary goal is to provide valuable, data-driven insights to inform business strategies, channel and program development, marketing campaigns, and overall decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities of the Consumer Insights Team may include:

Data Analysis: Utilizing advanced analytical tools and techniques to process and interpret large datasets, identifying actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.

Customer Profiling: Creating detailed customer profiles and segments based on demographics, behaviours, attitudes, and motivations to tailor marketing strategies and product offerings accordingly.

Trend Identification: Identifying and forecasting emerging consumer trends that can influence product demand and customer expectations.

Marketing Strategy: Assisting marketing teams in creating targeted and effective campaigns by understanding consumer insights and preferences.

Market Research: Conducting comprehensive market research to understand consumer needs, preferences, and expectations. This includes studying competitor offerings, industry trends, and market dynamics.

Data Visualization: Presenting data in a visually compelling manner to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders across the organization.

Continuous Monitoring: Keeping track of evolving consumer behaviours and market trends, ensuring the company remains proactive in responding to changing customer needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with other departments, such as marketing, channels, affiliate sales and brand partnerships, to ensure consumer insights are integrated into various aspects of the business.

Ultimately, the Consumer Insights Team plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization remains customer-centric and stays ahead of the competition by making informed decisions based on a comprehensive understanding of consumer preferences and behaviours.

Overall Purpose of the role (Job summary)

The primary goal is to provide valuable, data-driven insights to inform business strategies, channel strategies, marketing campaigns, and overall decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of an Audience Manager are focused on understanding and managing the target audience for a company's products, services, or marketing efforts. This role is crucial in tailoring marketing strategies, campaigns, and content to resonate with specific consumer segments, ultimately driving engagement and conversion.

Audience Research: Conducting thorough research and analysis to identify and define the target audience(s) for the organization. This includes gathering demographic data, psychographic information, and behavioural patterns to create detailed audience personas.

Audience Insights: Leveraging data analytics and market research to gain insights into audience behaviour, preferences, and trends.

Collaboration with Marketing and Channel Teams: Working closely with channel and marketing teams, including content marketing, to align strategies and campaigns with the identified audience segments. This involves providing guidance on tone, messaging, and content types that resonate with specific audiences.

Competitor Analysis: Keeping an eye on competitors' audience targeting strategies and understanding how they engage with their customers to identify opportunities and differentiate the company's offerings.

Staying Current with Trends: Being aware of industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in consumer behaviour that may impact audience targeting and engagement strategies.

Experiences/ Skills required
• Proven experience in media research, TV research
• The candidate must have proven experience in working in a complex, matrixed environment, managing multiple stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills and analytical approach with very strong attention to details.
• Strong planning and co-ordination skills
• Creative flair and knowledge of Disney brands and IP
• Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.

Skills
• A sound knowledge of the TV and OTT/SVOD streaming landscape
• Excellent communicator & presentation skills
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt to changing business demands at short notice and in an international environment
• An appreciation and understanding on how data and analytics can be used for decision making
