Analyst, Research, Insights, and Analytics (Burbank)
Disney Entertainment Content creates award-winning content across the portfolio of television brands and businesses, including ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney Branded Television, FX and FX Productions, Freeform, Nat Geo and Hulu Originals. A home to dynamic storytellers and talented creators, Disney Entertainment Television Content develops, produces and programs exceptional content of unparalleled scale and reach with more than 300 programs a year representing over 4,500 hours of programming across our linear networks, and streaming platforms Disney+, Hulu, and Star.
The Disney Entertainment Research, Insights, and Analytics team sits within Disney Entertainment and partners closely with senior leaders across Content, Strategy, and Marketing to deliver audience and content performance insights that inspire creative development and inform content strategy.
We are seeking an Analyst to join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering impactful data insights that influence a wide range of strategic decisions shaping the future of television at Disney Entertainment Television. This role will support research for ABC Entertainment programs across both linear and streaming platforms, contributing to a holistic understanding of audience behavior and content performance.
Responsibilities:
• Produce and distribute core reports using first- and second-party data
• Assist in the design, build, and automation of new reports and dashboards
• Conduct exploratory analysis across data sets to illuminate content viewing trends
• Provide a deep and ongoing understanding of content performance and audience preferences across linear and streaming
Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in media research, data & analytics, or related field including paid internships.
• Experience conducting SQL queries required.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and deep knowledge/experience in data exploration and data science
• Ability to capture and translate data and insights via visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Alteryx)
• Experience working in ''big data'' environments (like Snowflake); Proficiency of SQL and an understanding of complex, large-scale relational databases, statistical programs and other tools (SAS, Python, R, etc.)
• Experience with Nielsen (NNTV and NPower) and other content and audience measurement services and tools (WRAP and Lake5)
• Expertise in data exploration and or data science
• Strong interest in the content business; a consumer of shows across linear, streaming and social platforms.
• Candidates must reside within a reasonable distance of Burbank, CA, as this position requires onsite presence four days per week.

• Demonstrates excellent organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and a capacity for analyzing data and identifying trends.
Required Education:
• BA/BS Degree in Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent/related degree is preferred
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $71,000.00 to $95,100.00 per year based on a 40- hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
