In this market ESPN holds an extensive portfolio of premium sports rights including the NBA, NFL, MLB and UFC, along with Australia's NBL and WNBL basketball leagues. ESPN is known and Australia's 'Home of US Sports' and 'Your Home For Hoops'.

US Sport is on the rise across Australia and with this, ESPN is growing! ESPN is on the hunt for our next 2 sales guns to who are ready to join a passionate and high performing team of sports enthusiasts. We are hiring one Senior Account Manager (permanent) and one Account Manager (12 month contract) – both roles will be responsible for generating ad sales by selling ESPN and Disney broadcast and digital properties to a portfolio of agency and direct clients.

To be successful in the Account Manager role, you would benefit from having a passion for sport, in particular NBA and NFL in the United States, as well an in-depth knowledge of domestic and international leagues and clubs. With a proactive approach and a hunger for success, you will work with our clients to provide creative solutions and an exceptional experience.

Your key responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
• Act as the point-person for sales strategy, ad product ideation and packaging for select ESPN and Disney Advertising assets
• Lead a key category nationally by developing, executing and managing a vertical strategy
• Manage a portfolio of key clients
• Achieve and exceed sales targets
• Knowledge of clients' expectations, strategy and challenges in order to provide them with the most relevant media solution.
• Act as a trusted adviser to clients and agencies, maintaining relationships and keeping them informed of new advertising opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
• Experience in TV and/or Digital Media sales experience with an understanding of the Australian media landscape
• Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to pitch presentations and engage audiences
• A tenacious, proactive approach to new business
• Advanced MS Office skills with the ability to develop and present engaging presentations
• The gift of the gab combined with a genuine interest in people
• A love for selling solutions – as much as we do!
• The ability to form authentic and lasting relationships based on trust and mutuality
• A team player approach to the game in an environment that embraces innovation and creative thinking
