The Manager, Marketing Operations for Operational Performance ensures we relentlessly prioritize and measure marketing messages to properly align resources against outcomes. This role is a hybrid of skills sets, which include: agile manager/coach, tooling advocate, analytic, library science, communication, and hands-on coding. The Manager, Marketing Operations takes a consultative and collaborative approach to problem-solving, using available data to influence and drive change.

A successful Manager, Marketing Operations enables a constructive reflective lens to the entire team through resource reporting, and drives change to continuously create efficiency and transparency.

Responsibilities:
• Run grooming and sprint commit meetings; and operate as the team agile coach
• Act as the team interface to enterprise program and project teams
• Manage team postmortems and retrospectives with tracking of actions to completion
• Regularly report on operational metrics (e.g., team resources, message unit costs, issue resolution time)
• Identify opportunities to improve against operational metrics
• Create templates and other tooling platforms to standardize and gain efficiencies in routine tasks
• Run team Jira project configurations to standardize sprints to synthesize releases and reporting
• Act as chief editor on our wiki and other self-service informational tooling (e.g. Wordpress)
• Drive team forums, including virtual meetings and documentation
• Lead our team Github repos
• Create and provide team practices training for new hires and periodic retraining for existing team
• Ensure adoption of team practices through behavioral and attitudinal measurement
• Drive systems reporting (e.g.) in partnership with technical and other teams
• Synthesize weekly and monthly team reporting, inclusive of regional and other breakdown reports
• Streamline team escalation procedures and coordination with dependent teams
• Driver quarterly team and partner reviews to reflect, and refactor priorities based on new insights
• Research and drive development of team tooling to gain efficiencies
• Manage team budget and coordination with Finance
• Support contract procurement processes and/or change orders
• Drive special projects when the requirement arises

Basic Qualifications:
• 7+ years with global agile teams
• Expert in agile methodologies and git, with Atlassian certification (Jira/Confluence)
• Exceptional organizational skills, highly methodical, and a strong team player
• Experience with GitHub, SDLC, and technology team practices
• Understanding of ISO and common technical standards
• Analytic abilities to provide operational reporting utilizing BI and other tools
• Capable of conveying even the most complex concepts in simplified, easy to understand, and digestible terms
• Passion for velocity, enabling the team to scale through superior project management
• Analytic orientation and curiosity, using insights to drive your next course of action
• Superior communication and copywriting skills, with an ability to synthesize information in deck/presentation writing
• Experience supporting a globally distributed stakeholder team
• Be able to multitask and handle simultaneous projects, have exceptional problem-solving skills, and display composure under stress
• Self-motivated, with a drive to exceed user expectations and enable teams

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working on a subscription-based business
• Experience in a top consulting practice
• Scrum Master certification
• Experience working with remote and global teams
• Experience and/or awareness of AWS and marketing technology platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze (Push Notifications or In-App messages)
• Experience with CRM, Lifecycle or data driven marketing
• Familiarity and/or awareness with APIs, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or related degree or equivalent practical work experience
