Overview

The Specialist - Digital Content handles all the operational activities related to the VOD visual components (images) for D+ LATAM and Brazil. S/He will be responsible for the creation and correct implementation of images for each asset guaranteeing on time availability across multiple platforms. The role is responsible for the administration of the visual assets that make our users feel interested in the content and wanting them to click and watch. The ideal candidate is a great problem solver, someone who is comfortable working autonomously in a deadline driven environment, takes initiative, can manage multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams to find creative and efficient solutions in tight time frames.

Responsibilities
• Lead the visual operations by facilitating the images creation process (at the show, season and episode level if needed).
• Track and close follow up of the whole catalog, localization of images and logos.
• Upload and update the images at our internal systems.
• Keep all posters, images, labels and logos updated (and localized) to support the curation strategy.
• Work closely with vendors or external agencies on the creation or enhancement of images for D+ LATAM and Brazil.
• Provide the correct materials (latest key arts, logos, talents) to the agency and internal teams by using several tools and working closely with cross functional teams at Discovery.
• Execute the visual curation strategy (defined by the Programming team) creating (with the agency) the components that will exalt the user experience.
• Report erroneous images found across several platforms (website, mobile and multiple devices for the different apps). Propose a creative and efficient solution for possible issues and track them until getting a resolution
• Being a CMS expert in terms of images administration and publishing activities related to graphics. Upload and replace images.
• Document and track all visual related activities, being able to provide a high-level view of the status of the catalog at any time.
• Notify blockers or stoppers when needed, always providing a creative and effective resolution plan. Troubleshooting issues as they arise through all stages of multiplatform asset creation and delivery.
• Working closely with content operations, media operations and UX to ensure availability of content facilitating compelling fan experiences and adjusting the product to fit all screens and environments.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related discipline.
• Design studies and knowledge is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and GDrive environments
• Project Management Competencies
• Portuguese, proficiency in English. Spanish is a plus
• Desired knowledge of Adobe Suites, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge of file-based distribution, scheduling and/or content management systems a plus
• 5+ years of Digital Video experience in program/content planning
• Strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate is someone deadline driven and problem solver
• Excellent communication skills required with strong planning.
• Process oriented, individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously under a broader editorial strategy.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Strong understanding of content in the Latin American context. Familiarity with regional and local content and preferences. Ability to make solid editorial and curatorial decisions based on understanding of our customers, and the unique characteristics of our Discovery portfolio.
• A lover of television, movies and social media, as well as a passion for staying on top of industry trends.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and proven ability to work across regions and varying time zones.
• Ability to define, drive and effectively communicate programming vision and roadmap to cross functional stakeholder and executive level teams
• Understanding and awareness of key trends and issues in the major media markets in Latin America
• Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills to interface with various networks, departments, and levels of management
• Team player and quick learner with the ability to prioritize workload
