Meet Our Team:
The Global QA team helps to span development, execution and reporting on various test activities as it relates to the Global Warner Bros. Discovery product. They will be responsible for technology, tools, automation initiatives as it relates to QA activities working with Frontend Client and Backend service teams spread across US / EMEA / APAC teams. The QA team works closely with the Quality engineering and framework team to consume the QA-SaaS pipeline and drive improvements to QA automation activities as we scale our global platform.
Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Identify testing requirements, scope, estimates and ensure optimal test coverage for delivery of best quality for all the services under test, primarily Set Top Box (STB) testing.
• Design and develop the automation framework.
• Have the ownership of of automation framework
• Support the team members technically and provide guidance.
• Test interactive video software applications and equipment functionality on digital headend and cable set top products. Testing will include code applications download and start up, User Interface test and verification, video and audio quality testing
• Track and execute first level of debug on issues detected, collect diagnostic data for SW engineering
• Conduct Peer Review / Review of Test Cases written by other team member/s
• Be responsible for Test Cases writing and test purpose identifying for STB
Qualifications
What to Bring:
• 5 -8 years of experience in Quality engineering
• Knowledge of programming languages, e.g. JavaScript, Java or PYTHON is mandatory
• Working experience in Test Automation and framework development is must
• Knowledge on Automation frameworks related to Video testing, Capture cards, IR devices
• Good debugging and problem isolation capabilities, good insight into usage of test tools and debugging tools
• Understanding of QA standards and best practices, including automation, regression, and smoke testing, white/black-box testing, and related QA processes.
• Knowledge of Build, Deployment, and Continuous Integration concepts and best practices, including full SDLC.
• Working Experience in Set-top Box (STB) testing and OTT applications testing is a must.
• Audio & Video Codec Knowledge.
• Knowledge of MPEG, IPTV & DVB Standards
• Knowledge of HDMI & Dolby Standards
• Demonstrated experience in test planning, test design, test strategy, and test execution of highly complex systems.
• Exceptional communication and people skills, with a passion for product excellence, talent development and mentoring.
• Strong experience in Scrum methodology, processes, and best practices.
• Good Analytical skills and logical reasoning skills
