As content creators across the digital ecosystem, we continuously leverage our technology to create immersive viewing and interactive experiences.

Global Platform Services is a technology group within the Direct to Consumer division. Our group is the supporting backbone responsible for keeping all Direct to Consumer services going. In our team, we automate and enrich the experience of managing creative assets used for marketing campaigns globally across all mediums, everything from on-air promotions to the latest social media campaign.

About the Role

We are hiring Software Development Engineers II to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidates will have a track record of building multiple, high-performance, stable, scalable systems that have been successfully shipped to customers in production. Your approach and work will be exemplary, and you will have a proven background in driving best practices and setting standards for your team.

You are a key influencer in your team's strategy and contribute significantly to team planning. You show good judgment making trade-offs between immediate and long-term business needs. You are a collaborative leader who encourages fellow Engineers and other team members to be more productive, by sharing your knowledge and help. You are able to work autonomously to design and develop functional changes to existing software systems. You require little or no guidance from team members. You still actively seek input where appropriate and engage your team to inform and share what you are doing.

You consistently demonstrated good software ownership practices (e.g. code reviews, code comments, etc) in all of your contributions. Your code reviews are uneventful, you prepare documentation proactively, and you ensure proper monitoring for operational excellence in production.

Responsibilities
• Design, build and maintain APIs, services, and systems across engineering teams.
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• Work autonomously with engineers across the company to build new features at a large scale.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of proven software engineering experience
• AWS Serverless Offerings (e.g. AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, Step Functions)
• DevOps Practices (e.g. CI/CD Pipelines)
• IAC Expertise (e.g. Serverless Framework, CDK)
• Backend Development with NodeJS, Java
• Unit Testing with Mockito, Java
• Strong analytical, problem solving & conceptual skills, and a flexible attitude in shifting environments.
• Provide input into estimating engagement activities and execute engagements following the Agile methodology including SCRUM, KANBAN, etc.
• Experience in digital direct to consumer products, eCommerce, or OTT industries is a plus
