The Insights team sits at the heart of the UK business and plays a central role in decision making across a range of stakeholders from planning, marketing and commissioning to advertising-sales, strategy and finance. As a team, we are responsible for understanding everything we can about our audiences and ensuring their voice is heard through the insights and strategic recommendations that we provide. Ultimately, there is rarely a decision that has not been influenced or informed by Insights and we are currently expanding the team to meet the growing needs of the company as we position ourselves for the future.

We are on the lookout for a Senior Insights Analyst to join our ever-growing Insights team. The role will support multiple departments across the business and offers a unique opportunity to work across our entire portfolio of linear, social and streaming brands. While there will be some regular reporting within the role, you will also be able to get stuck-in and contribute to a broad range of exciting and varied ad-hoc projects such as content & talent testing, consumer deep dives and competitor tracking. The role will utilize both primary and secondary research techniques and ensure key stakeholders are armed with best-in-class insights upon which to base business decisions. Responsibilities
• This role will act as the main support for the Insights Manager and will require supporting on ad-hoc requests and larger insights projects
• Provide detailed reporting on the performance of DNUKs linear portfolio of Entertainment, Factual & Sport channels as well as our direct-to-consumer services
• Have ownership of key regular reports - ensuring reporting is accurate and delivered promptly while also maintaining the reports and making improvements where necessary
• Build strong internal client relationships with appropriate teams and communicate key insights through ad-hoc requests and regular meetings
• Take the lead on ad-hoc research requests with best-in-class insights and recommendations that help inform the business
• Provide the Planning & Marketing teams with clear, actionable information to help optimise and grow our linear portfolio and direct-to-consumer services
• Be a key contact for the commercial teams and help develop compelling sales arguments for our brands making use of all available research tools
• Provide day-to-day training, support and guidance to Insights Analyst
• Help measure audience consumption across platforms to develop a holistic picture of viewing across our products and brands
• Fully exploit available audience data and combine with other research insights to reveal more about our viewers and their content choices and behaviour

Qualifications
• Strong experience working in the media industry within a research department – either a media owner or media agency
• Passion for media research and desire to help develop DNUK's business
• Experience with industry analysis tools such as Advantedge/TechEdge, Adobe Analytics and TGI
• Strong grasp of media metrics across TV and digital platforms
• Good knowledge of Microsoft (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint) and Google (e.g. Sheets, Slides) software packages
• A solid understanding of the UK TV market and challenges it faces
• A self-starter who takes initiative and is action oriented - able to plan, prioritise and complete work accurately in a set time frame
• Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong communications skills – able to produce clear, concise and relevant insights
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic organisation
• Knowledge and experience of working on sport content is desired but not essential
