Overview

This person will sit in the Discovery Sports (Eurosport) marketing team.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Campaigns and On Air Promotion, this role will have a key focus on planning, developing and delivering campaigns, initiatives and materials that support the marketing plan for our OTT platforms (discovery+, Eurosport App, Eurosport W Player) and Eurosport linear channels for different markets across Europe.

Responsibilities

Campaign Management
• Create compelling briefs for each campaign including targeting, phasing, message, goal, and creative approach.
• Work with the research and growth teams to drive the targeting of our communications, selecting the most appropriate groups for targeted campaigns based on current or predicted behaviour.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (editorial, rights …) to optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
• Partner with acquisitions teams to deliver the volume of gross adds sourced by the brand response and performance campaigns.
• Work with local markets, sharing marketing plans, leveraging appropriate content and running joint campaigns towards agreed objectives.
• Provide visibility to the growth, media and creative teams for the status of all assets ensuring campaigns start on schedule and are delivering as expected and that potential issues are raised proactively with a view to early resolution of problems.
• Be the voice of the OTT platforms customer, using qualitative and quantitative insights to substantiate feedback on creative ideas and media plans to ensure all communications will drive greater brand engagement with our target audience.
• Partner with the brand team to ensure alignment with brand mandates, design standards.
• Ensure all activities undertaken adhere to our relevant policies and procedures, is within our risk 'appetite' and is approved according to the appropriate compliance procedures.
• Support affiliate sales (except digital only affiliates) by providing marketing campaigns, promotions and sales-support resources, along with local/central ad sales and other campaign related local initiatives.
• Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (awareness, product understanding, gross adds …).
• Partner with other D2C products (Golf TV, GCN) marketing teams to manage cross-promotion campaigns through planning, development and execution, resolving campaign issues to ensure they deliver on the campaign plan we agreed.

Management
• Manage a team of two campaign leads
• Be an internal / external source of expertise in the marketing campaign field and respond swiftly and concisely to any questions or queries.
• Pro-actively work to ensure that the tools and process in place are fit for purpose suggesting changes and enhancements and discussing these with the team and management.
• Work alongside colleagues to continually benchmark our campaigns and seek out new ways to differentiate and improve the activities we undertake.
• Stay abreast of industry and competitor trends and all applicable ideas/concepts to identify relevant opportunities.

Qualifications
• Google Workplace suite fluency (Presentations, Spreadsheets, Documents)
• Eagerness to get hands-on to figure out how things work
• Team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of cross functional teams
• Capacity to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly
• Ability to manage multiple tasks to completion
• Strong interpersonal skills including clear communication skills and positive attitude
• Ability to investigate, analyse & solve problems, and clearly communicate results
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
