Revenue Accountant

Job Description

Responsibilities
• Handle day-to-day accounting duties and month end and quarter end close activities in the revenue accounting area

• Prepare journal entries and provide ongoing support for revenue accounting areas – contract logs, cash applications, invoicing as needed, etc.

• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations

• Perform account analysis and compile reporting

• Perform revenue cut-off procedures at quarter-end to ensure revenue is properly and accurately recorded for the period

• Comply with the Company’s revenue recognition policies and practices

• Assist with the continuous review and improvement of revenue systems and business processes related to SAP and associated revenue systems

• Cultivate strong internal partnerships with business unit personnel

• Perform other assignments/projects as required

Requirements
• BS/BA in related discipline from an accredited university

• CPA or path to CPA

• Must have the legal right to work in the United States

It’s a plus if you have:
• US GAAP (ASC 606) revenue accounting experience

• Proficiency working with SAP and Blackline

• Large, public company experience

• Media industry experience

• Strong Excel and PC skills

• Results oriented mindset

• Strong attention to detail and organization skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities

• Desire to learn beyond daily job responsibilities/expand skillset
