Overview
PTP Senior Manager
Responsibilities
• Manage end to end PTP service delivery composed of issuing purchase orders, invoice processing, payments, training and user support
• Serve as a subject matter expert in PTP processes & technologies (SAP SRM, OpenText VIM, SAP ECC) for non-content spend
• Assist PTP GPO with streamlining and updating policies, operating procedures, and SOX documentation as process changes occur
• In partnership with PTP GPO, drive tangible improvement agenda
• Be accountable for KPIs / SLAs and Customer Satisfaction areas
• Support SAP system changes, improvements and new company codes created with testing as required and support new business projects, acquisitions and integrations where needed
• Support audit and other SOX & internal control requirements from Statutory and Internal Auditors
• Ensure SOX compliance, including identification of control weaknesses and implementation of necessary corrective procedures
• Deliver world class / proactive customer service to internal and external stakeholders while adhering to company policies and procedures
• Manage timely & accurately the accounting close related functions (i.e. Balance Sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and flux / trend analysis)
• Prepare management reporting and analysis as requested
• Manage integration and onboarding of new acquisitions into Discovery processes and systems
• Coach, develop and empower team members and provide real time feedback to enhance performance. Motivate and create a culture of team collaboration and open communication.
• Remain current with new initiatives, technology and market trends in the Procure-to-Pay process through relationships with suppliers, industry experts and professional organizations
Support Cash forecasting efforts as required
Qualifications
• Experience with Shared Services / GBS is a must
• Sound Accounting background
• Specific industry and PTP process experience including running an extensive PTP operation within a multinational company
• Experience working in high volume, performance driven environments while demonstrating ability to lead and develop a diverse team, manage projects, and influence stakeholders to drive positive change
• Superior customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to interact and support different levels within the organization
• Success in building cross-functional networks and delivering exceptional customer service
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to problem solve and take calculated risks that achieve business objectives
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Highly motivated with a desire for learning and continuous improvements
• Ability to take on new tasks and processes, quickly and effectively
• Commitment to teamwork through relationship-building, reliability, trust and collaboration
• In-depth knowledge and experience with SAP ERP, SAP SRM, Concur, Blackline, Excel, Power Point
• Understanding of SOX compliance rules and guidelines
• ''Loves'' constantly changing environment and knows how to embrace it
• Lean / Six Sigma qualification preferred
• Fluency in both spoken and written English
