Job Description


This role will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency across Media Technology, Production & Operations group (MTP&O), DNI and Asia-Pacific regional strategy, commitments and goals.


Project Management:
• Elicit, analyse, and validate the business needs of project and business unit stakeholders
• Support the creation and refinement of project business cases
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
• Identify and assemble the appropriate project team members across multiple regions and time zones
• Lead the planning and execution of complex projects within budget and according to defined deadlines
• Create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet validated changes to business needs and requirements
• Effectively apply defined methodologies in managing projects
• Ensure quality standards are adhered to with all deliverables
• Working with Legal to negotiate and manage appropriate contractual arrangements with suppliers
Business Coordination/Relationship Management:
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business unit customers and project stakeholders
• Assist in defining the plan to achieve those objectives
• Capacity to manage vendors, coordinate vendor-related workstreams
• Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
Build knowledge case of client’s business organization and objectives

• Effectively facilitate regular project meetings
• Effectively communicate project information/status, both written and verbal, to the project team, stakeholders and direct line management
• Identify correct level of communication required, tailored for the audience
• Resolve and/or escalate issues/risks as appropriate and in a timely manner
• Able to build relationships across all MTP&O teams and the wider business
• Ability to communicate technical issues effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

• Continually monitor and report on progress to all stakeholders via regular project status reports
• Conducts post-project reviews, providing assessment of results and lessons learned documentation
• Provide ROI reporting on major initiatives to Senior Management

Technical Competency
• Significant project management experience in broadcasting multiplatform TV Services, OTT, TV Everywhere, VOD, Catch up
• Experience with On Line, Digital & Mobile across Asian-Pacific market.
• Knowledge of broadcast and non-linear operational workflows and live spots
• Knowledge of Traffic and Airtime sales systems
• Knowledge of Language customization processes (Subtitling & Dubbing)

Key Requirements:
• Recognized qualification in project management
• Working knowledge of PRINCE2/PMI based and Agile methodologies
• Experienced in Risk and Issues management
• Financial acumen and skills including building financial models, ROI, NPV, cash flow. Good understanding of the management of capital and operating budgets (MBA desirable).
• Direct work experience and knowledge of project/program management methodologies and tools
• Team player, self-starter: ability to work in a team as well as to work and lead efforts independently
• Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to interface with business customers at all levels of the organization
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Direct experience working with and across various cultures
• Willingness to travel on an ad hoc basis, as required
• Fluent in English and Asian language skills desired
