Job Description
Overview

Eurosport is seeking an experienced Production Manager, on a 6 month fixed term contract to join its UK team based in the UK. This role is responsible for supporting the Senior Management Team in delivering the day to day logistics across specific sports on Discovery's Sport portfolio.

The Production Manager will work in a fast-paced production environment and be responsible for the delivery of the World Superbikes and UFC Productions.

The role will cover 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day to include weekend work when required. When working on live events hours and days may differ and be longer.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Senior Management team the responsibilities include:
• Managing the delivery of World Superbikes and UFC (Eurosport Netherlands) across the linear channels and digital platforms.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with freelance crews, vendors and organising committees.
• Responsible for pulling together and keeping accurate budgets and cost reports of World Superbikes and UFC - Reporting in regular monthly spend to the Senior Management Team. Ensure all POs are raised on time.
• Input to the tender process across World Superbikes & UFC.
• Work closely with Digital team and Marketing team on all production plans as they evolve / develop and encourage department cross over in all areas.
• Ensure all health and safety measures of productions are adhered to including covid protocols, risk assessments and that relevant insurance is in place for each event you are Managing.
• Responsible for following up on any technical glitches with the GT&O teams or onsite teams on the events that you are working on.
Own the problem and follow up with all departments accordingly.
• Ensure all contractual paperwork is in place for each event.
• Responsible for ensuring IR35 rules are adhered to across all your bookings and that Release forms are issued when needed.
• Execute the Management of all Studio and Onsite Productions from idea conception through to delivery
• Responsible for the development of more Junior members of the team through regular feedback and coaching
• Occasional Floor Management requirements at onsite events

Qualifications
• Experience in team Management
• Strong attention to detail and with a methodical approach to work
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to act decisively, with a positive can-do attitude and strong problem-solving approach required
• Ability to work under pressure, handle last minute changes & execute evolving plans
• Strong technical knowledge related to sports television & digital production
• Experience in multi-tasking and managing logistics of complex projects
• Strong contract negotiation & budget management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information and interact with high-level executives and talent
• Forward thinking, strategic and solution focused mindset willing to make decisions and lead a team
• Strong influencing skills
• Strong written and oral communications skills
• Weekend work and travel will be required
