The Manager of DTC Pricing Strategy will be responsible for pricing strategy for Global Discovery+ and all DTC endeavors. Strategic pricing includes referential pricing, promotional pricing, bundle pricing, multiple forms of payment, annual and monthly programs, currencies, and customer and product segmentation. This individual will perform and track all pricing tests and programs to achieve pricing effectiveness in each successive cycle.

Responsibilities
• Research pricing's impact on market share, user acquisition, retention, and LTV of our users
• Work with global counterparts to establish and execute pricing best practices
• Research and remain familiar with competitor offerings, price points, and market share; construct and communicate (to executives) pricing strategy for current and possible competitor market moves
• Setup alerting protocol for competitive changes to ad light and ad free products
• Set domestic US product pricing bundle strategy including base products, ad free/ad light tiers, plus-ups and add-ons
• Produce and maintain detailed elasticity model by market segment and product
• Provide LTV, Retention and Pricing discount model by market and product segments for each retention event, Partner expiration, prior year marketing campaign retentions event
• Understand segment ARPU for ad-light tier and apply ARPU value to ad-free discounting policy
• Update currency conversion mappings to understand value of foreign currencies and set pricing strategies according to equivalent valuation
• Manage all waiver code/budgets for promotional or free user accounts
• Work with Director – Promotions to set market segments for pricing and promotional activities
• Work with Finance groups to enable transfer pricing enabling multiple forms of payment

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in a numerical discipline or equivalent years of experience
• Strong analytical, communication and time management skills
• Experience with Pricing
• Ability to understand and interpret trends and react with strategic/tactical changes
• Good technical skills and knowledge of spreadsheet analysis; Google Sheets/Excel
• Strong communicator with ability to adjust / adapt to situations to maximize results
• Ability to work face-to-face and electronically (e.g. telephone, e-mail, IM, social media)
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Ability to lead and work with a diverse team

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Standard office environment. Sedentary work. Some travel may be required.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a numerical discipline or equivalent years of experience
