We are currently recruiting experienced finance professionals to Discovery's FP&A Center of Excellence – organization that maintains worldwide operations.

The Corporate FP&A team is the nexus where Discovery Inc's financial storyline, influential analyses and financial decision-making come together. The team is responsible for both the consolidation and reporting of the company's current year forecasted financials as well as the long-term financial projections. By managing and coordinating Budgeting, Forecasting, Strategic Planning, Management Reporting, Financial Analysis, Capital Planning and Cash Flow forecasting across the company, Corporate Finance drives improved decision-making for finance leadership and DCI senior management with the goal of maximizing shareholder value. The team focuses on highlighting and synthesizing information, key performance indicators and operating metrics so that senior management can have a better understanding of the economics of the business and improve the quality and speed of decision-making. The Corporate Finance group strives to continuously improve global FP&A activities and grow talent across finance and operations.

Responsibilities
• Ownership of the financial review and tracking of key transformation initiatives focused on driving business performance, including the creation and analysis of business cases

• Performing sensitivity analysis, develop driver-based financial models

• Improving financial planning processes, increase efficiency and transparency

• Continuous review and improvement of management reporting including the ability to push back on information received in order to derive root causes of changes

• Preparing consolidated forecasts and budgets, analyzing trends and business drivers in revenue, expense, and other related areas

• Analyzing and reporting on key drivers of business and company performance

• Ensuring timely, accurate and informative management reporting

• Driving the continuous improvement of reports to deliver valuable insights to senior management

• Building executive presentations and meeting materials for CFO to CEO, Board of Directors and external audiences, including leading on ad hoc operational and company analysis as needed

• Research, analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources into business information

• Driving the annual budget process, including definition and communication of timelines, designing templates and issuing budget guidelines

• Apply financial and communication skills to report, reveal and recommend findings to help executives make value-creating decisions across the enterprise

• Assume a lead role in the evaluation of quick turnaround inquiries

Requirements:
• 5+ years of working experience in finance and financial modeling

• Fluent in English is a must (spoken and written)

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple work assignments simultaneously

• Solid understanding of forecasting and budgeting process

• Ability to analyze and model complex business by identifying and understanding main drivers

• General accounting knowledge

• Strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a global team

• Excellent analytical skills

• Pro-active and hands-on

• High drive and energy level

• Ability to understand and meet strict deadlines

• Your way of working is characterized by a high level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail

• CIMA/ACCA qualified or education in progress desired
