Discovery have an exciting new opportunity for an organized, analytical and focused graduate hoping to either continue or start their career in broadcast media. In this role you are required to support the Channel Operations team with operations function, as well as review and
assess editorial content and provide feedback on unsuitable content and potential edits that may be required under local regulations.
You will work on content and channels programming strategy, communicating scheduling information to local and central teams, by liaising with various teams: Programme Planning, Compliance, Reversioning, Programme Operations, Content Operations, Marketing, Creative Production, Media Planning, Listings and local teams. You will work closely with Senior Manager Channel Operations, as well as the wider programme planning teams.
Responsibilities
• Advising and flagging any content that would require editing before broadcast
• Proofreading and editing Listings documents
• Supporting programming strategy by updating master documents and communicating changes to central and local teams, regarding delivery and scheduling
• Tracking delivery dates and US premiere dates to ensure material is ready for EMEA Pay TV deadlines
• Monitoring process of requesting programme rights
• Communicating scheduling and content strategy updates to key internal stakeholders and departments: Content Operations, Programming Operations, Reversioning, Marketing, Digital, PR, Listings, VOD and regional planning teams
• Responding to urgent programming and scheduling related queries
• Preparing and circulating various programming and scheduling related reports and gathering relevant scheduling/content data
• Assisting in new channel launches by analyzing available legacy content, liaising with operational teams and attending launch meetings
• Supporting local teams in sourcing content related information and materials
• Attending relevant meetings where required
Qualifications
• Working proficiency in English is essential
• Working proficiency in Russian is desired
• Strong planning and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
• Great team player
• Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
• A knowledge of and interest in the output of Warner Bros Discovery
