Overview

The Programme Appraiser is based in Auckland and reports to the Director, Legal ANZ. You will be responsible for appraising and classifying the amazing range of programming which we broadcast on our free-to-air channels THREE, Bravo, eden, Rush and HGTV, and which can be streamed on our digital products. You will ensure that programming complies with all regulatory requirements including the Broadcasting Standards and relevant classification guidelines.

You will also be a key member of our Standards Committee, which considers and responds to formal complaints about our programming.

Responsibilities
• Ensuring that programmes and promos are appraised in a timely manner and are accurately classified;
• Providing support to internal stakeholders on Broadcasting Standards and other regulatory issues;
• Preparing written responses to formal Broadcasting Standards complaints;
• Maintaining an awareness of decisions released by the Broadcasting Standards Authority and incorporating any guidance into your classification decisions.
