In Spain we are present through our pay television channels Eurosport and Discovery Channel, and we provide content to DTT networks such as DMAX and DKISS, as well as different digital services at discovery + and Eurosport App.

Global Technology & Operations (GT&O) provides technological infrastructure and operations support to ensure audiences can enjoy Eurosport's programming around the world and across platforms. At our broadcast facility in Spain, the GT&O team supports the operations of pay and free-to-air channels in Spain and Portugal including live broadcasting for Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2 and Eurosport App.

Responsibilities
• Ensure optimal performance of the live sports channels, including weekends and overnight.
• Broadcast Engineers work closely with production and operational staff, identifying problems and resolving them rapidly to maintain the highest levels of production reliability for our clients.
• Provide technical assistance to PCR (Production Control room), MFR (Multifunction room), and SCR (Sound Control room) users.
• Ensure maintenance of existing equipment (GV Kahuna Mixers, Instant Replay GV Live Touch, Vizrt graphic stations, studio, TAG display solutions, Atos BNCS Broadcast Control System, Nevion Orchestration, VideoIPath, monitoring solution (Skyline Dataminer). These devices are mainly based in Datacenters, with orchestrations in the Cloud. The control is done in Remote.
• Working with existing systems and designing new ones.
• It's a cross functional role which requires liaison with internal and external clients, collaboration with all broadcast and engineering teams throughout our organisation, as well as working with our 3 rd party, production rooms systems integrator and other vendors as required.
• Define and apply preventive and curative maintenance policies in accordance with supplier recommendations.
• Coordinate and plan maintenance interventions.
• Participate in the coordination of subcontracting services.

Qualifications
• Availability to work the majority or a large number of weekends and sometimes on nightly shifts.
• Engineering degree (Sound and Image) required and at least 5 years of experience in Broadcast
• Experience of a live sports events and sports production environment.
• Proficient in digital broadcasting systems and have knowledge of the overall broadcasting processes.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• The ability to juggle and effectively manage a large number of requests and prioritizing as necessary.
• Ability to work unsupervised, proactive.
• Ability to work and remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent people and interpersonal skills, good team player.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to different demands.
• High levels of initiative, motivation, and time management.
