Job Description
The Vice President of Marketing will oversee all aspects of marketing for the Detroit Tigers, including campaign development, brand management, in-game entertainment, fan development and digital marketing strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving brand awareness, customer affinity, and revenue growth for the team (primarily ticket sales and corporate partnerships). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of emerging marketing trends and be highly data and analytics focused. They should be collaborative and able to lead a team to develop and execute marketing initiatives that deliver results and push innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead a multi-faceted marketing and brand strategy focused on enhancing revenue opportunities across all streams and creating a narrative to drive compelling storytelling.
• Develop best in class digital, mobile, social, content and influencer strategies.
• Work in close partnership with, and drive synergy between, marketing, creative, community relations, communications, sales, sponsorship and guest services efforts
• Develop and lead an innovative, best-in-class and 360 in-game presentation and fan experience strategy.
• Create and lead the Fan Development strategy driving revenue through authentic relationships throughout the baseball community including youth baseball, softball and adult leagues
• Lead media buying strategy efforts to deliver maximum impact, identify new audiences and drive revenue.
• Work in close partnership with the creative team to develop effective concepts designed to clearly articulate strategic communication objectives and carry concepts through development, refinement of direction, and full production of the project's design.
• Partner with Ticket Sales, Service & Operations, Business Analytic and other teams to conceptualize campaigns that enhance platforms and drive revenue for individual ticket sales and ancillary revenue opportunities, including merchandise.
• Collaborate with the internal Business Analytics team to develop, monitor, and evaluate marketing decisions using analytics that measure outcomes and assess quantifiable metrics and develop action plans and apply learnings to leverage results that will maximize marketing and sales efforts.
• Collaborate with Sponsorships to monetize assets that supports the Tigers brand and partner objectives.
• Stay up to date on emerging marketing trends and best practices, and apply them to the Detroit Tigers' marketing efforts
• Develop and lead a high-performing marketing team, providing coaching and development opportunities to team members.
• Build and maintain relationships with key partners, vendors, and agencies to ensure the successful execution of marketing initiatives.

Minimum Education/Qualification
• Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field
• A minimum 10+ years of relevant marketing experience in a dynamic, consumer-facing sports organization
• Strong background experience developing 360-degree, multi-faceted marketing campaigns including creative, communications, influencer, media, digital and social media marketing
• Experience leveraging data and analytics to influence marketing strategy and plans
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Experience leading and developing strategic channel plans and content calendars
• Proven track record of driving measurable business growth through the design and implementation of innovative marketing strategies
• Experience partnering with sales, management, and creative leaders to drive distinction in a competitive consumer marketplace
• Demonstrated background in developing various creative marketing collateral and campaigns for new and traditional media
• Experience developing and managing successful multi-year brand and conversion campaigns for prestigious brand(s)
