Job Description
Deadline Hollywood is looking for a talented Video Producer /Editor to join our dynamic, creative team to develop and create strategic content. Based in our new West Los Angeles headquarters, the Video Producer/Editor will produce, shoot and edit videos for Deadline Hollywood.
Responsibilities:
• Production of original video content from concept to delivery.
• Serve as a producer for assigned video projects. This includes coordinating, scheduling, shooting, directing, and editing of assigned video series and projects.
• Provide video content for the website to complement top stories and features.
• Edit exciting and dynamic sizzle reels of Deadline events.
• Shoot and live-stream events for strategic brand partners and sponsors. Setting up lighting for 2-8 person shoots and recording external sound from lavalier and boom microphones.
Requirements:
• Proven ability to work with an editorial team and maintain high journalistic standards.
• Good communication skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects.
• Knowledge of several cameras including Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras, Panasonic GH4s and Canon c300s. Knowledge of lenses, especially the proper focal lengths and aperture for a shoot.
• Knowledge of recording Zoom meetings and editing the footage to create multi camera virtual shoots.
• Team player and the ability to self-start and work independently
• Detail oriented with a keen eye for quality
• Ability to manage expectations for timely completion and delivery of projects
• Strong interest and knowledge of entertainment industry, film and television; confident and comfortable around talent.
As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.
Salary range: $67K-$69K

The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
