The Job:
The CW Television Network is seeking an Executive Director, Research to join our Research group. In this role you will support and provide guidance to The CW network, and its corporate officers, with data driven insights into strategic programming/entertainment scheduling, program acquisitions, and reporting of linear network performance. Maintain detailed program databases and performance tracks for measurement for CW Affiliate Relations team. Working directly within Research, the Director will act as a liaison with Corporate, Programming, Scheduling, Advertising Sales, Monetization, Broadcast Operations, and Marketing with a primary focus on supporting The CW linear network.
The Daily:
• Weekly/daily development of programming performance reporting for the network and its corporate officers.
• Develop programming estimates in CW propriety and/or syndicated systems.
• Deliver actionable analyses and data strategies to inform programming, scheduling, acquisitions.
• Maintain, develop, and oversee analytics and create actionable and insightful day to day Reports/statistics.
• Assist/develop Decks and/or materials that help tell a story for CW Affiliate relations and programming/entertainment.
• Export/format daily data reporting including insights into competitive landscape insights.
• Maintain StarMedia, Nielsen, ComScore and internal database systems and provide effective materials reporting on performance of CW properties.
• Evaluate, develop, and suggest improvements to measurement infrastructure and create new insightful tools for department stakeholders.
The Essentials:
• BA in business, marketing, communications/media or related field, or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum 5+ years of related experience in Digital and Linear Research.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Research data and systems from Nielsen, WRAP, Starmedia and/or other software systems.
• Familiarity with a wide variety of digital software systems (eg. Comscore, ISPot,etc).
• Strong understanding of media landscape and cross platform Research tools and/or software systems.
• Strong oral and written communication as well as media math skills.
• Proactive project design, attention to detail and the ability to interact positively with others are necessary.
• Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods are a must.
• Located in our Burbank office.
• This is not a work from home/remote position. Employee will follow existing workplace/office protocols.
The Compensation
• $140 - $155/yr commensurate with experience and skill levels. It is supplemented by an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to company performance and individual contribution.
