Senior Financial Analyst, Nexstar Networks

Job Description

Nexstar Media Group is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Senior Financial Analyst for the Networks division. The division encompasses The CW Network, NewsNation, The Hill, Antenna TV, Rewind TV, and WGN-Radio. Nexstar Networks is a division of Nexstar Media Group, the nation's largest TV broadcaster. Primary responsibilities for the senior analyst including budgeting and forecasting, reporting, and critically analyzing revenue ad expenses. This position will support operations and strategic planning activities.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics with 3-5 years' experience in a corporate FP&A environment. Must have advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Must be analytical, be able to multi-task, and possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:
• Support the annual budget and monthly forecast processes for the Networks division. This includes independently analyzing financials as well as working with department heads to explain, review, and finalize all projections.
• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards of financial results, key performance indicators, and external benchmarks to support the executive team.
• Prepare ad hoc financial models and analyses of business investment opportunities. Communicate results and recommendations to senior management.
• Leverage new systems to automate the compilation and distribution of financial results and coordinate the budget/forecast process.
• Participate in various ad-hoc projects to support Nexstar Network leaders.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
