The Job:

The CW Television Network is currently in search of an Executive Director, CW Sports to join our burgeoning sports team. We're on the lookout for a seasoned, versatile, and driven team player to bolster our support for a range of sports properties, including the NASCAR Xfinity Series, ACC Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Pac-12 Football, Inside the NFL, and LIV Golf. The ideal candidate will boast extensive expertise in both live sports remote and studio production, along with a proven track record of fostering cross-functional relationships with sales, marketing, communications, affiliate relations, and monetization teams.

The Daily:
• Provide creative production support for sales and marketing initiatives across all sports properties.
• Serve as a liaison with operations to ensure seamless execution of commercial and promotional traffic during live events.
• Take editorial lead on the on-air sports ticker and act as the primary contact for its integration into live events.
• Manage relationships with Business Affairs concerning all sports contracts, including programming terms, distribution obligations, game selection, and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for weekend sports programming for both the network and affiliates.
• Assume officer-of-the-day responsibilities for live events, overseeing communication with social media teams, the communications department, and network production vendors.
• Conduct evaluations of production quality and on-air talent following each broadcast.

The Essentials:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of leadership/management experience in live sports production at a national broadcast network or cable outlet preferred. Regional sports network experience is acceptable.
• Editorial expertise in live event game and studio production.
• Proficiency in managing sports television budgets and understanding network operational conditions and procedures.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and some holidays.
• Travel is a required component of this role. The candidate must be willing to travel to selected live events to represent the network's interests.

Location:
• The CW's headquarters in Burbank, CA. Frequent travel is a critical part of this role, requiring flexibility and the ability to work from various locations to meet business needs.

The Compensation:
• $155 - $210k /yr commensurate with experience and skill levels.
