TheChannel Manager/Social Media Manager is responsible for owning the strategy, branding, and daily operations of our YouTube channel while overseeing growth across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other digital platforms.
This role combines channel optimization with social media strategy, ensuring every piece of content is packaged, scheduled, and promoted for maximum reach and engagement.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to…
Oversee the launch, branding, and optimization of the YouTube channel with guidance from Leadership.
Own the content calendar across YouTube, TikTok, IG, and FB with guidance from leadership.
Upload videos, manage metadata, create playlists, and schedule posts.
Analyze performance metrics to improve retention, watch time, and subscriber growth.
Oversee posting strategy for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms.
Collaborate with production, editors, and designers to package content.
Work with Digital Analyst/Marketer to drive monetization strategies (ads, sponsorships, live streams, memberships).
Stay current with platform algorithm updates and trends.
Supervise the Social Media Coordinator and approve their postings, engagement, and creative choices for thumbnails, etc. Lead thumbnail/title/packaging strategy, approving final creative.
Drive community building: oversee comment engagement, Community tab posts, polls, and collaborations.
Coordinate with Casting, Editors, and Shooters to ensure creative vision and deadlines are hit.
Partner with Digital Analyst to turn insights into actionable growth tactics (e.g., changing posting time, experimenting with new formats).
Stay current with algorithm and platform updates to adjust strategy.
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure creative environment with changing priorities, while maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality
Strong understanding of the digital platform
Ability to interact confidently and professionally with senior-level executives and talent
A minimum of 1+ years of experience in the digital space, with a proven track record of success
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of relevant work experience
Exceptional organizational skills with a strong focus on accuracy and precision
Strong ability to conduct thorough research to support strategic initiatives
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while prioritizing competing deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Gmail, Google Drive, PowerPoint/Slides/Canva, CapCut and/or other editing apps, familiarity with social media platforms and their usage is essential
Knowledge of pop culture, current events, and social media trends
Active social media presence is required
Demonstrated ability to pitch strong creative ideas and opinions
Other Requirements:
● Flexibility and willingness to work overtime and on weekends as needed and on shortnotice; this is NOT a typical 9 to 5 role
● Willingness and ability to travel when required
● Willingness and ability to learn new skills, staying up to date on industry trends
