Position: VFX Coordinator
Location: New York, NY – Hybrid
*Pay Range: $25.00 - $31.00 USD hourly
As a VFX Coordinator, you will act as a point of contact for producers and internal personnel throughout the various stages of post-production. The ideal candidate will be able to facilitate the movement of shots between teams, coordinate daily reviews, communicate status updates to ensure the scheduled delivery of projects.
MAIN DUTIES:
The candidate will provide support to the project team under the guidance of the supervisors and producers. The candidate will have an understanding of post-production and be responsible for scheduling/tracking the progress of tasks for assigned artists (or sequences). In addition, the candidate will track/maintain revisions while communicating client feedback to producers and lead artists. They will support their assigned Producers by creating daily artist task lists, and coordinate internal workflow processes (e.g. outsourcing, color, transcoding, pipeline) with other internal Method teams and coordinate with various Method Studio locations/offices on shared projects. Additional duties include:
• Work closely with artists to assure tasks are completed/ready for producers and leads to review.
• Coordinate all client deliveries, both physical and digital, via approved Client designated systems (Aspera, Frame.IO, etc.) with VFX assist team
• Maintain task lists and log of all deliveries;
• Manage meeting schedule, taking and publishing notes for the team as needed;
• Be responsible for the setup of dailies and all client review sessions to capture creative feedback and track client notes
• Aide in getting assets ingested for artists to work on

The perfect candidate needs to be a dependable team player with a great attitude and be flexible with our fast turnarounds. They will work closely with the VFX Producer in achieving the highest creative and technical standards of work. Additional desired skills include:
• Experience with production tracking software and asset management software (preferably Shotgun and Ceta).
• Experience with schedule management in a time-sensitive atmosphere.
• A high level of written, verbal, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Strong comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and apps.
• Highly developed communication skills to facilitate interdepartmental needs, and schedules, exhibiting a consistent standard of excellence in all business communications.
• Ability to make decisions independently with a high level of ingenuity.
• Experience in post-production and finishing process along with a general understanding of work created in software used for Compositing, 3D modeling, Animation, and VFX (e.g. After Effects, C4D, Flame, Maya, Houdini, Unreal Engine, etc.) is a plus
