Position: CFX / Technical Artist (Temporary)
Location: Vancouver, BC – Remote
*Pay Range: $43.00 - $67.00 CAD hourly

Method's Real-Time division is looking for an experienced CFX artist to join our Vancouver team.

MAIN DUTIES:
In this role, the CFX / Technical Artist will work with the UE TDs to provide creative solutions and develop workflows. You will will set up and adjust hair and cloth simulation with direction from the Department Supervisor/Lead using Houdini and/or UE, and Anim polish and fix penetration on animation.

WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will have prior working experience in a similar role, as well as experience working within Unreal or equivalent real-time engine. They will have experience making model corrections for shot finalization as needed and have demonstrated ability working with strict deadlines and under pressure. Additional desired skills include:
• Software: Houdini, Maya, UE or equivalent game engine, Marvelous Designer (bonus)
• Programming: Python, Maya API
• Experience making model corrections for shot finalization as needed.
• Demonstrated ability working with strict deadlines and under pressure.
• Ability to take direction and find creative solutions during the iterative process.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A positive team-oriented mindset.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and be able to work without micromanagement.
• Knowledge of Shotgrid is a plus.
