Job Description
CNN is seeking a highly strategic, operational, and growth-minded executive to lead the marketing investment strategy, commercialization efforts, digital transformation initiatives, and data enablement programs that power CNN's direct-to-consumer portfolio.
This senior leadership role is responsible for translating high-level revenue and audience growth goals into actionable strategies that drive measurable business impact-through marketing levers including pricing innovation, paid media investment management, digital enablement, partnership execution, and the commercialization of new features within CNN's subscription product.
Working cross-functionally with Product, Strategy, Growth Marketing, Brand, Finance, Legal, Distribution, and the CNN newsroom, this role will ensure CNN's growth engine is optimized for scale, agility, and innovation in a rapidly evolving digital marketplace.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Marketing Investment Strategy & Operations
• Lead paid and owned media investment planning, budgeting, and performance oversight across acquisition, lifecycle, and brand channels.
• Develop frameworks that connect marketing spend to business outcomes, optimizing resource allocation based on impact.
• Partner closely with Growth Marketing, Brand, Finance, and WBD's central media teams to ensure effective, aligned, and high-performing investments.
Pricing, Monetization & Enablement
• In partnership with Strategy and Finance, oversee pricing and bundling testing and execution, including operational rollout across platforms and customer experiences.
• Build and lead the Pricing Operations function to manage price changes, discounts, and offer structures at scale.
• Collaborate with Analytics and Strategy to forecast and monitor the revenue impact of pricing decisions.
Partnership & Affiliate Commercialization
• Working closely with Strategy and BD, determine partnership frameworks and assess opportunities to drive subscriber growth
• Operationalize go-to-market plans for partnerships, bundles, and wholesale distribution.
• Manage cross-functional delivery across Marketing, Product, Legal, and external partners to ensure seamless integration into CNN's consumer experience.
Feature Commercialization
• Collaborate with Product and Strategy to evaluate feature viability, define success metrics, and manage pre- and post-launch performance.
• Work with product marketing to bring to market new features within the existing subscription product (e.g., newsletters, loyalty tiers, premium content) and for select geographic expansions.
• Lead commercialization planning, offer strategy, and performance evaluation for product enhancements and regional rollouts-not entirely new product lines.
Digital Transformation & Tools Enablement
• Identify, assess, and deploy tools, technologies, and AI solutions that enhance marketing efficiency, targeting, and customer engagement.
• Working with Marketing Technology team to deliver on roadmaps that support CNN's growth goals, including CRM, personalization, analytics, and automation platforms.
• Build operational capabilities that modernize marketing processes and accelerate time-to-market for campaigns and features.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Building
• Serve as a key leader within CNN's Growth organization, partnering across Product, Brand, Growth Marketing, and Finance teams.
• Build and lead high-performing teams across pricing ops, investment management, commercialization, and marketing operations.
• Define and implement operating rhythms, planning frameworks, and measurement systems that drive strategic alignment and executional excellence.

Qualifications and Experience:
• A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field is typically required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in growth, marketing, commercialization, digital strategy, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer business models, subscription-based products, and digital media.
• Proficiency in marketing analytics, pricing strategy, CRM systems, AI-driven marketing tools, and automation platforms.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, including Product, Tech, Strategy, Finance, Legal, and Distribution.
• Strategic thinking with ability to translate high-level revenue and audience growth goals into actionable strategies.
• Experience leveraging first-party data for audience segmentation, personalization, and performance measurement.
• Expertise in managing partnerships, affiliate commercialization, and go-to-market strategies.
• Track record of building and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced, evolving digital marketplace.

Preferred Experience:
• Experience in budgeting, media investment planning, and optimizing marketing spend for business impact.
• Background in pricing operations, bundling strategies, and revenue forecasting.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies, AI solutions, and digital enablement tools for digital transformation.
• Experience launching new features within existing subscription products.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $140,013.00 - $260,023.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
