The Job

As the Technical Program/Project Manager 2, you will be the lynchpin to helping the commerce operation to run smoothly and delivering high-impact, revenue-generating experiences. The Commerce team at CNN is growing in team members, revenue, influence and initiatives at a rocketship pace, and we're seeking a talented Program/Project Manager who can help drive us through these growth spurts and keep our cross functional team of engineers, product managers, designers, business development leads, SEO leads, editors and more all aligned to one mission as we scale.

The Daily
• Align Commerce team on goals, cross-team status updates, OKR tracking and cross-department communication.
• Work with the greater CNN team on deploy and release planning, coordinating launch dates between dev, product, design, editorial, business development and vendors to hit project deadlines.
• Work with greater WarnerMedia tech org to lead third party vendor onboarding for Commerce, from competitor assessment to initial security reviews to project plan timelines.
• Be the go-to for helping new team members get up to speed through access to analytics, CMS, team distribution lists and all the tools that keep the team running.
• Identify opportunities to improve inter-departmental workflows and collaboration.
• Run standups, retros and development schedules for incoming engineering teams as the Commerce team scales into new initiatives.

The Essentials
• 2+ years of experience in project management with cross-functional teams in a multi-faceted org.
• Demonstrated history of exceptional accountability and a commitment to timelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, dynamic and nimble environment which can pivot quickly to reflect the changing needs of the company or industry.
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Prioritizes delivery of value over optics and process.
• Technical knowledge of basic engineering process.
