The Job
You will be leading publicity efforts for CNN International editorial content (news and sport) in the UK and across the EMEA region and support EMEA-based talent, staff and executives on internal and external requests and priorities.

Reporting to the Director of CNNI Communications in Atlanta, you will be working closely with the VP of CNNI Communications in Atlanta and collaborate with a global PR team responsible for promoting CNNI in markets around the world.

The Daily
• Create and disseminate press materials to support key editorial content (interviews, packages, breaking news, digital stories, social content, etc) on CNN International programs including but not limited to Amanpour, Connect the World with Becky Anderson, Hala Gorani Tonight and CNN World Sport.
• Attend daily editorial meetings across news and sport, working closely with producers, editors and other senior editorial staff on priorities and distinctive content.
• Oversee speaking engagements for CNNI talent, staff and executives across EMEA.
• Work closely with senior executives in the region, including London bureau chief & VP of International Newsgathering, Tommy Evans and directors of coverage on the International Desk, on daily editorial and network priorities.
• Manage CNNI press team social accounts including creating and posting brand-appropriate content on multiple platforms.
• Handle incoming press inquiries in UK and other key markets in EMEA coordinating with senior members of press team.
• Develop, pitch and secure PR editorial opportunities to drive increased awareness of CNNI talent, including Chief International Anchor Christiane Amanpour, Chief International Correspondent Clarissa Ward, and the EMEA-based senior international correspondent team, and of CNN's distinctive reporting to a range of audiences in EMEA through both traditional and digital channels.
• Manage a PR Intern in London including their development, daily workload, and performance management.
• Oversee collation of media coverage of EMEA PR campaigns and activity to be shared across editorial teams.

The Essentials
• Solid comms/PR experience with good strategy, media contacts and relations skills
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• Consumer, B2B and experience in digital PR and social media
• Crisis communications experience
• Ability to draft/create/edit bespoke content for digital and social media
• Ability to match PR results directly with business needs
• Demonstrated teamwork, networking skills and a collaborative approach
• Effective time management skills and ability to work independently when required

The Nice-to-Haves
• Campaign experience
• Good knowledge of the media industry, experience in broadcast and/or digital media
• Ability to multi-task, especially to combine administrative tasks with creative media relations.
• Innovation and creativity in problem solving
• Experience of working with talent such as presenters/celebrities
