The Job

The Director, Program Development will:

Be responsible for cultivating relationships within the creative community and developing original programming across a variety of CNN platforms. Be responsible for and oversee the development (and management/coordination thereof) of show concepts for CNN Original Series (on CNN TV and CNN+). The director will foster strong relationships with the selling community.

The Daily
• The Director will identify external production companies for project assignments and new development. The Director will bring a level of contacts to this job.
• Work with production partners to develop content for CNN networks as well as work with external production companies and distributors on behalf of CNN.
• Be the liaison between internal departments, to communicate and coordinate information flow for all applicable projects.

The Essentials
• Minimum of 5-7 years development/non-scripted programming
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and be successful in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Bachelor's degree preferred
