CNN Digital Operations team is responsible for defining and enabling the operating model for CNN Digital, ensuring alignment and execution against the business strategy. This includes how we set strategy, set and track goals , gather on the work, make decisions, raise red flags, identify and evaluate trade-offs, evaluate progress and communicate with stakeholders across CNN WW and WBD as one united team.

The Product Operations team enables the operating Product Development (Product, Technology, Design, Data) operating model, defined by Product Development leadership, working in lockstep with the head of Product. This team:
• ensures consistent touchpoint across 6 product development teams and aligned squads
• ensures leadership has a shared view of all the work - both to ensure that teams are working on the right work, but also to understand and facilitate the work between each team
• puts into place expected ways of operating that support a best-in-class product organization

Your New Role...

Each Product Development team has a single Product lead, Tech lead, and Design lead. The leadership for each team should be empowered to create their OKRs and will be accountable for delivering on those OKRs, communicating status, bubbling up blockers/dependencies, ensuring team health. Product Operations is a key partner to each leader in doing so and helps create structure, connectivity, and discipline for al l to plug into in expected, repeatable ways that meet leadership expectations.

Together the CNN Digital and Product Operations teams operate as one unit , constantly on the lookout for needed synergies, information sharing and tightly coupled practices that drive strategic alignment across the CNN Digital organization.

Your New Role…

The Manager, Operations will focus on Product Operations with responsibility for the following three areas:

Your Role Accountabilities...

Roadmap creation and tracking
• Ensure process to drive to single source of truth Product Dev roadmap across teams
• Ensure constantly current roadmap and expectations for how updates occur
• Enable forecasting of future performance/metrics based on roadmaps
• Owner of the single source of truth document
• Outline process and ensure adherence to rules of engagement for 1. outlining and 2. articulating changes
• Can speak to roadmap changes and the effects of those changes
• Can speak to milestones that impact forecasting of future performance/metrics
OKRs
• Support teams in creating OKRs, plugging into org-wide process
• Establish the right forum for leadership approval
• Outline and drive process to track due dates for OKR creation, consistent updates and review.
• Facilitate conversations between PTDD leadership and team leadership on the work
• Outline process for setting team OKRs, key partner to team product leaders
• Establishes deadlines for setting, tracking and review of OKRs within teams and across Product Development in line with Digital timelines
• Remains in lockstep with approaches across CNND
• Becomes an OKR expert, honing team level OKRs to maximize effectiveness
• Establishes process to ensure team level OKRs are in sync with one another, always having an eye out for where team leads may not see connections or implications of decision making
• Understands and can articulate the cause and effect of changes in OKRs or lack of progress within one team to another team and expertly liaises with team leads to address (enable leaders to address)

Documentation
• Establish consistent tooling for tracking and documenting work
• Establish templates for product briefs and ensure consistent execution
• Constantly only the lookout for areas of needed documentation and standardization and proactively identifies and addresses these needs
• Understands what exists now
• Makes plans to streamline and strengthen approach
• Develop standard templates and work to implement in partnership with leaders
• Shares new approaches with leaderships and rolls out to teams
• On the forefront of best-in-class tooling
• Implements points of recalibration based on careful observation

In addition, this role will:
• Support cross-functional teams and stakeholders to realize shared outcomes in pursuit of business objectives
• Provide strategic thought partnership to Product Development leaders
• Support Product Development connection to monthly CNN Digital business reviews
• Informally lead and influence cross-functional teams
• Regularly synthesize large amounts of inputs into actionable next steps to drive progress
• Champion Digital's ongoing digital transformation

Qualifications & Experience...
• Project management/operations capacity experience
• Significant knowledge of media and digital transformation.
• Experience executing and overseeing large-scale cross-functional work in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience navigating organizational complexity and creating structure in gray space.
• The ability to establish steady operations processes with newly emerging and constantly evolving project-based work.
• Proven track record of operating with agility and responding to constantly shifting priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills - ability to work /collaborate across multiple groups.
• A self-starter who can work well with multi-disciplinary teams across business, technology, marketing, sales and content.
• Superior communication skills
• Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver
• Exceptional time management and multi-tasking capabilities
• High degree of self-awareness with an ability to articulate one's strengths and areas of needed learning/development
• 5+ years in a project management/operations capacity

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $113,890.00 - $211,510.00 sal
