The Job

CNN+ is looking for a Director, Subscription & Growth Strategy to join the Strategy & Operations team. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for developing strategic opportunities to grow our subscribers and revenue, building and leveraging a deep understanding of the CNN+ business.

The CNN+ Strategy & Operations team shapes CNN's global direct to consumer strategy. In this role, you will partner with leadership to identify and evaluate activities that further the strategic goals of CNN+, and partner with product, technology, content and other teams to bring these ideas to life.

The Daily
• Develop strategies to improve acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention, supported by well-crafted strategic narratives and rigorous quantitative analysis
• Partner with leadership to lead high-priority projects to grow subscribers and revenue
• Build a deep knowledge of the drivers and levers of our subscription business, partner with CNN+ teams to determine the right metrics to track, set targets and communicate performance, including to executive leadership
• Provide embedded strategic support to Growth Marketing and Growth Product, identifying and recommending strategies for subscriber and revenue growth, understanding the impact of these approaches and supporting their implementation
• Build and manage a high-performing team

The Essentials
• Typically has 8 or more years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous initiatives to successful completion.
• Ability to think strategically and to translate ideas into action
• Management consulting experience or strategy / business planning experience
• Creative problem solver that can proactively identify problems, pull together data and people to identify causes and develop solutions
• Ability to facilitate and communicate cross-functionally to ensure consistent development and execution of strategies, including strong presentation skills
• High level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to create the right solutions and approaches for each situation.
