The Job

As Director of Product Management, Marketing Technology, you will be helping enable and advance CNN's new direct to consumer experience for users on CNN+. This is a role that will empower multiple teams to do what they do best – produce and distribute
outstanding content, build world class products , and connect with both non-users and users. You will lead and hire a team to partner closely with the marketing and growth product teams to drive
outcomes and strategically evaluate and transform our marketing capabilities .

Working as a product leader on the g rowth p roduct team and a key partner with m arketing, you will
own the product vision for our marketing technology capabilities . You will clearly articulate the roadmap to team members, internal stakeholders , and leadership. You must be an expert in understanding and synthesizing the needs of the marketing, product, and business teams. In addition, you will drive implementation , support , and operations. Lastly, y ou will also ensure that marketing technology meet s CNN's standards for info rmation security and privacy.

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on solving multifaceted problems and has several years of hands-on experience in delivering product and marketing value . Strong communication and analytical thinking skills are necessary to have the right level of impact and influence.

The Daily
• Articulate a product vision for the marketing technology stack that delivers against the vision and strategy of the Marketing and Growth teams and ensur es alignment with
overall company goals
• Lead, hire and grow a team of product managers to support this work
• Partner with marketers, designers, and engineers to define , organize, prioritize, and deliver solutions.
• Ensure capabilities are current , high quality, and reliable – investigate low adoption
or frustration , promote new capabilities , and evangelize use cases that empower users to achieve more with existing tools.
• Lead the evaluation and research of new vendors
• Align use cases to comply with government and company policies (GDPR, CCPA , etc.) on the selection and use of marketing technology

The Essentials
• 10 + years experience in product management with a record of releasing new features and improving existing ones
• Experience growing and managing a team of product managers, setting clear expectations, and coaching them along the way
• Demonstrated e xperience in Build versus Buy decision making
• A bility to plan and prioritize business needs, budget , and allocate resources by balancing internal and external expertise
• Results-oriented leadership with humility , responsiveness, collaboration , and consensus building
• Awareness of :
• Paid media bidding and optimization strategies
• Web, mobile, and OTT/TV app analytics
• Web , mobile, and OTT/TV app development concepts
• App attribution solutions and paid media tracking
• Tag management systems
• Business I ntelligence and visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.)
• Content Management Systems
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or relevant years of experience
