Create is the award-winning branded content studio for CNN International. We tell authentic stories that inspire and engage our audience. Through a data-informed process we deliver award-winning, relevant content to our audience of influential decision makers.

As part of the digital team, the Digital Content Producer will lead the storytelling output for the region, working alongside the Content Strategy Lead, Digital Lead and Project Managers within Create to deliver best-in-class content for digital campaigns.

The Digital Content Producer knows the value of a good story and is able to bring it to life across various platforms – websites, high-impact display, and social media – in order to entice and engage the CNN audience. Adept at managing various stakeholders across the production process, the Digital Content Producer will oversee the campaign from confirmation, management of creative resources and talent, to the timely delivery of all campaign assets.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Work closely with the Content Strategist and Digital Lead to ideate and deliver creative human-led stories.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to source, creatively direct, and produce compelling imagery and text assets.
• Sourcing and managing appropriate vendors and/or individual freelancers to fulfil production of required campaign assets.
• Estimating time and cost for content creation, including, but not limited to, freelance copywriters, editors and photographers.
• Work with illustrators, photographers, motion designers, graphic designers, writers, production houses to elevate the creative and enhance content discovery across multiple platforms, across multiple verticals.
• Proofread and write copy, check on creative assets and maintain highest level of quality for all creative output.
• Support Project Managers in driving milestones of the creative process effectively to ensure timely and accurate development, production, and delivery of assets.
• Proactively learning about the latest digital and video product innovation and updating cross-functional partners on these features and initiatives.
• Review performance metrics together with Lead Content Strategist and Digital Lead to determine best practices for better creatives.
• Deputising for the Digital Lead as required.
• The creative briefing and management of freelance copywriters and creatives.
• Ensuring areas of responsibility come in on time and budget.

Qualifications & Experience
• 7+ years in a creative environment.
• An experienced copywriter/editor with a portfolio of work.
• Outstanding understanding of the publishing landscape including Digital and Social, and strong knowledge of the production process at all stages.
• A deep understanding of social, branded content, digital, and mobile ecosystems.
• Ability to create clear, effective content grounded in data and insights.
• Must be conversant and capable in all aspects of a digital creative and asset production workflow.
• Ability to oversee external partners to ensure efficient and high quality output.
• Understanding and eye for great visual design and the ability to translate them into finalized assets.
• Exemplary organizational skills with a disciplined approach to project management.
• Great interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and connect the dots in a fast-paced environment.
• An understanding of metrics and testing to inform creative strategy.
• The soft skills to recognize when to challenge conventional thinking, the courage to voice suggestions and the maturity to accept feedback on ideas and work.
• Prior project management, team leadership, or creative agency campaign supervision experience is a bonus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Apple devices.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to strict deadlines.
• Ability to negotiate best rates and budgets with third-party suppliers.
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships.
• Ability to work with confidential information with complete discretion.
• Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player in a small team environment when required.
• Strong ability to learn new internal software systems.
