The Job

We are looking for a Core Experience Test & Learn Manager to serve as the champion of product testing strategies and experimental design in our new Test & Learn Center of Excellence. This technical and strategic leader will partner closely with our Product Experience, Growth Product, and our Core Digital teams to facilitate best practices in A/B testing and experiments. You will mentor and guide analysts from different business units in the process of justifying and validating the results of experiments, and manage the process of setting up the experiments. As an early member of the team, this person is also essential in building and leading our wider test & learn practice, instilling hypothesis-minded thinking across CNN Digital, and shaping the broader Analytics & Science team's norms and culture.

The Daily
• Serve as primary point of contact for Product Experience, Marketing, or Growth Product teams for experimentation needs, building and socializing test & learn capabilities, working with analytics, product, design, engineering, etc. teams as part of the test & learn center of excellence team (T&L CoE)
• Lead and implement experiments that bring together full stack teams that include designers, researchers, data scientists, engineers, and developers to deliver best-in-class product, content, and/or marketing experiences. This will involve a mix of coding and platform work.
• Work within T&L COE to develop and maintain standardized processes, criteria, and frameworks to enable a successful experimentation program for Product Experience, Marketing, or Growth Product teams
• Support Analytics across CNN Digital by providing strategic and technical expertise in test & learn best practices
• Create and maintain relevant documentation as well as program-level tracking, governance, and company-wide communications
• Build and track experiments within Experimentation tool (e.g., Optimizely) and connected Analytics stack (e.g., Tableau, Mixpanel, Segment)
• Partner with Product Analysts to assess and refine ideas and timelines and to review results and insights for Experiments

The Essentials
• 8+ years of analytics experience with a Bachelor or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline
• Proficiency in SQL, Git, and Python
• Strong communication skills, specifically driving projects and roadmaps in a leadership role
• Experience with one or more visualization tools, such as Looker/Mixpanel/Tableau
• Experience in A/B testing for a DTC media company or streaming service is a strong plus
• Experience developing data products is a plus
