NOTE: Cineverse is currently a 100% work-from-home company. While we may return to an office environment in the future, we do not have plans to return to an office setting at this time. When we return to an office environment, the incumbent may be required to work from the office on a part or full-time basis, as needed. The Finance & Accounting Analyst Consultant is responsible for analyzing, calculating, and processing royalty statements, while ensuring the accuracy of royalty reporting. The ideal candidate will work closely with teams across finance, legal, and other business units to ensure that rights holders receive accurate and timely payments in accordance with licensing agreements. This position requires strong project management and analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex contracts. Experience with financial data and reporting is essential. This position is expected to last 6 months.
Essential Functions
• Prepare licensor statements on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreements.
• Calculate royalties based on sales, expenses, revenue sharing and licensor agreement's terms and conditions.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in royalty calculations and payments.
• Reconciliation of royalty statements with financial records and sales data.
• Tracking and payment of advances, recoupments, reserves, liquidation and revenue sharing allocations and payment schedules.
• Sending statements to the Licensors and responding to Licensor's inquiries over mail.
• Preparation of month end and quarter end statements.
• Assist in Audit by providing required documentations.
Essential Qualifications/Competencies
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1-3 years royalty accounting / accounting, financial analysis or a similar experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot table, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.)
• Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline driven environment.
