Job Description
CBS Stations, a division of Paramount Global, is passionate about delivering ground-breaking content and experiences to our audiences across Linear & Streaming assets! We are looking for a Yield Analyst that will play a crucial role in the pricing and management of local linear inventory across our CBS Stations group. Your primary focus will be to optimize sell-through, pricing, and opportunities to increase revenue generation while enhancing the overall performance of our advertising sales efforts.
• Inventory Analysis: Analyze and evaluate inventory across our television station group to maximize sell-through and revenue generation.
• Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement effective pricing strategies based on market trends, demand, and inventory availability.
• Sell-Through Optimization: Work closely with the Sales team to ensure efficient sell-through of advertising inventory, making data-driven recommendations to improve sales performance.
• Deal Management: Collaborate with Sales and manage and negotiate advertising deals, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining profitability.
• Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare regular reports and forecasts on inventory performance, revenue, and pricing metrics to provide insights to management and assist in decision-making.
• Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to find opportunities and stay competitive in the advertising landscape.
• Yield Management: Implement yield management strategies to balance inventory allocation and optimize revenue potential.
• Data Insights: Apply data analysis and reporting tools to derive actionable insights for improving yield and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years of experience in yield analysis, pricing, or related roles within the media or advertising industry, preferably with exposure to Local Linear advertising
• Familiarity with television in the media industry and inventory management
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
• Experience in pricing strategy and deal negotiation
• Ability to work collaboratively with various partners
• Awareness of advertising market trends
• Resourceful in identifying and resolving challenges related to inventory and pricing
• Comfortable using data analysis tools, inventory management software, and reporting systems

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $50,000.00 - 70,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
