As a Yield Analyst for CBS Stations, a division of Paramount Global, you will play a crucial role in the Pricing and Management of Local Linear inventory across our CBS Stations group. Your primary focus will be to optimize sell-through, pricing, and opportunities to improve revenue generation and enhance the overall performance of our advertising sales efforts.
• Inventory Analysis: Analyze and evaluate Local Linear inventory across our television station group to find opportunities for increasing sell-through and revenue generation.
• Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement effective pricing strategies based on market trends, demand, and inventory availability to achieve revenue targets.
• Sell-Through Optimization: Work closely with the sales team to ensure efficient sell-through of advertising inventory, making data-driven recommendations to improve sales performance.
• Deal Management: Collaborate with the sales team to manage and negotiate advertising deals, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining profitability.
• Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare regular reports and forecasts on inventory performance, revenue, and pricing metrics to provide insights to management and assist in decision-making.
• Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to see opportunities and stay competitive in the advertising landscape.
• Yield Management: Implement yield management strategies to balance inventory allocation and optimize revenue potential.
• Data Insights: Apply data analysis and reporting tools to derive practical insights for improving yield and performance.
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in yield analysis, pricing, or related roles within the media or advertising industry, preferably with exposure to Local Linear advertising.
• Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
• Knowledge of Television Advertising: Familiarity with television advertising sales, inventory management, and the media landscape.
• Pricing Expertise: Experience in pricing strategy and deal negotiation to optimize revenue while meeting client needs.
• Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in conjunction with the Sales team and various partners.
• Market Awareness: Awareness of advertising market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
• Problem-Solving: Proactive and resourceful in identifying and resolving challenges related to inventory management and pricing optimization.
• Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using data analysis tools, inventory management software, and reporting systems.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
