Operations Tech Director

Compensation and Benefits include: Hourly Rate ($26 - $31 depending on experience) and eligibility for Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) Plan, Life Insurance Coverage, Disability Benefits, Tuition Assistance Program, PTO.

DESCRIPTION:

ELC Automation Director responsible for technical execution of newscasts, sportscasts, production and special events. Candidates will need to work a variety of shifts and schedules. Along with assigned Directing duties this position which also work in Operations as a Technician.

Per NABET Agreement: A technician is an employee whose duties includes, but are not limited to, video and audio operations, studio, transmitter, as well as control room operations. A Technician will be required to operate and maintain electronic and mechanical equipment and to keep logs and records in connection with performance of duties. The duties of a technician can include the operation of ELC, robotic cameras, audio mixer, video switcher, ENG equipment, editing, teleprompter, spot dubbing, field work and other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be capable of performing at a high level in a stressful, fast paced environment. Applicant must possess in depth knowledge of news production and previous experience with automation systems preferred. Applicant must have the ability to work with Engineering, Creative Services, and the Graphics Department to coordinate all aspects of KCNC's broadcasts.

Minimum Experience & Qualifications:

Applicant must have operational proficiency and understanding of production equipment including video switchers and audio consoles.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

Knowledge of Sony ELC and MVS switchers helpful. A degree in journalism or TV production is preferred. Applicant must have experience as a Newscast Director or equivalent. Send resume tape or video link to:
