PT NEWSCAST AUTOMATION DIRECTOR & OPERATIONS TECH

DESCRIPTION:

Compensation: ($25 - $30/hour) and eligibility for 401(k) Plan after completion of one year of employment with 1,000 hours of service in the 12 consecutive month period starting with the 1st day of employment, or failing that, in any subsequent calendar year.

DESCRIPTION:

ELC Automation Director responsible for technical execution of newscasts, sportscasts, production and special events. Will need to work a variety of shifts and schedules. Primary shifts are weekend mornings and weekday fill in.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Must be capable of performing at a high level in a stressful, fast paced environment. Applicant must have in depth knowledge of news production and previous experience with automation systems preferred. Applicant must have the ability to work with News, Engineering, Creative Services, and the Graphics Department to coordinate all aspects of KCNC's broadcasts.

Per NABET Agreement: A Technician is an employee whose duties includes, but are not limited to, video and audio operations, studio, as well as control room operations. Ability to stand for several hours at a timer, sit, lift 50lbs. and climb ladders. The duties of a Technician can include the operation of ELC, robotic cameras, audio mixer, video switcher, ENG equipment, basic editing, teleprompter, spot dubbing, and other duties as assigned.
