OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for an eager and extraordinary Financial Analyst who will be responsible for maintaining financial metadata in system and processing payments for Development and Overhead Finance for CBS Studios. This role will be involved with various aspects of finance such as administration, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. This position will report to Manager of Development Finance, and there will be significant interaction with the department members and other finance groups as well as outside vendors.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Assist in processing payroll (working with Entertainment Partners and Cast & Crew)
- Create purchase orders and processes invoices relating to projects, term deals, and overhead expenses
- Aid in the on-boarding and off-boarding of new vendors and term deal employees
- Enter contractual obligations in SAP and maintain project metadata
- Review incoming payment authorizations against contracts and create associated payment schedules
- Compile and organize backup documentation for journal entries
- Assist in preparation of financial supporting schedules including cost-to-date summaries
- Supports special projects and ad hoc analysis as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 2+ year finance and/or accounting experience
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Entertainment industry experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently, and meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Smart Accounting or CASHet/CASHet Pay experience preferred but not required
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $60,000.00 - 72,500.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
