Overview & Responsibilities:

Coordinating Producer – Podcast Production

The Coordinating Producer will be responsible for the oversight and day-to-day production of CBS Sports' audio podcasts and associated digital video programs.

Primary responsibilities include working with management on the planning, strategy, execution, and overall approach for our expansive network of multisport, year-round audio and video podcasts. The Coordinating Producer will oversee our team of podcast producers to ensure timely, entertaining, and informative content as well as be responsible for show distribution across various audio, digital and linear platforms!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Work with Programming and Production management on scheduling and show development
• Supervise individual show producers and advise on show topics, editorial, and daily execution
• Oversee production team responsibilities for the audio distribution and optimization of podcasts
• Oversee production team responsible for the video distribution of podcasts across YouTube, social media, and CBS Sports Network
• Collaborate across various departments of CBS Sports, CBS Sports Network & CBS Sports Digital to ensure podcast production and strategy aligns with overall division goals
• Work with CBS Sports Talent Management team on scheduling, feedback and development of podcast hosts and contributors.
• Oversees staff – performance, staffing schedules, etc
• Interacting with and connecting teams across programming, post-production, graphics, and studio production to ensure proficiency in workflow and production timelines that result in successful delivery of podcast programming
• Collaborates specifically with Studio Production at CBS Sports Network to deliver daily and weekly program blocks for the company's linear cable sports channel

Basic Qualifications:
• A flexible schedule, and an understanding that sports production involves non-traditional work hours
• At least 6-8 years working in sports media production. Including experience producing podcasts and other forms of digital media
• Expert level of sports knowledge, including gambling and fantasy spaces
• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
• 3+ years of experience managing, supervising or as a lead producer for a production unit
• Strong knowledge of digital video production related techniques and systems
• Has strong news judgment and experience with real-time sports productions and graphics

Additional Qualifications:
• Good understanding of ratings metrics/market positioning within the sports digital space and strategies
