Brand Overview:
SportsLine is a subscription product from CBS Sports that offers premium sports picks in a wide array of sports, next-level Fantasy and Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) tools/advice, compelling coverage of the growing sports betting industry, and much more. We're growing fast and will continue to aggressively target this burgeoning market.
Role Details:
This person will be an integral part of SportsLine's marketing team. You will write and publish articles promoting our expert and computer picks, projections, rankings, DFS lineups, and more. Additionally, you will help us reach our target market through Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social media, newsletters, and more. The Associate Marketing Manager needs to be knowledgeable in a wide variety of sports including, but not limited to, football, basketball, baseball, hockey, golf, horse racing, auto racing, soccer, and tennis. You will also need a working knowledge of the sports betting community and season-long and daily Fantasy concepts.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Produce content promoting SportsLine's expert and computer picks, projections, rankings, DFS Fantasy lineups in a wide variety of sports
• Update text in articles with the latest odds and picks
• Help generate value for CBS Interactive's gambling partner where required
• Distribute content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media channels
• Coordinate with CBS Interactive social team for effective distribution tactics.
• Nights, weekends, and holiday availability will be required
Key Projects:
• Find ways to creatively update content targeting key sales terms that will hit traffic, subscription, and conversion goals
• Help with the growth of SportsLine, drive additional subscriptions and traffic
• Assist CBS Interactive in providing value to our gambling partner, William Hill
• Create engaging content for SportsLine members and other readers
• Work with other CBS Interactive brands to share resources and cross-market common goals
QUALIFICATIONS:
What you bring to the team:
You have -
• Experience producing noteworthy written content
• Basic knowledge of SEO best practices
• Regularly use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms to distribute content
• Above-average knowledge of terms and trends in sports betting, season-long and Daily Fantasy Sports
• Proven ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• Strong passion for digital marketing
• A track record of being a proven self-starter, team-first player and ability to taking on projects of all sizes
You might also have -
• Interest in data analysis and experience making data-driven decisions
• Experience with Photoshop or other basic graphic design platforms
• Experience in media relations
