Role Details:

We are seeking a high-impact Senior Software Engineer to join our team! The successful candidate will embrace our design precepts and will be a collaborative teammate able to communicate her/his ideas with colleagues and management. In this role you will be involved in supporting and improving our video distribution and syndication systems, building integrations with new partners, platforms and services and creating new apis and services to meet our business needs.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Design, modify, and develop software applications, APIs, database schemas and search indexes
• Participate in full-stack development (Java, Spring, Solr, MySQL, PHP)
• Participate in full life-cycle development (Test Driven Development)
• Participate in product innovation and be accountable for contributing in a major way to infrastructure improvements, product innovation and direction
• Optimize our applications for cloud computing and distributed computing
• Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Key Projects:
• Building and improving video distribution and syndication systems and services
• Building and improving partner, platform and service integrations
• Creating new apis, features and services
• Construct new tools for running our apis, features, services and partnerships

QUALIFICATIONS:

What you bring to the team:

You have -
• BS Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical degree, or equivalent professional experience
• 7+ years of programming experience
• Proven technical acumen and experience across related technologies (Java, Spring, MySQL)
• OOP design and development experience
• Proven track record of leading projects
• Successful at developing and maintaining mission critical systems

You might also have -
• Experience building Web Services
• Knowledge of JSON, MRSS, XML, and REST
• Experience with Tomcat, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Solr and Test Driven Development
• Experience with Git and GitHub
• Web development standard methodologies
• Experience with Cloud Computing and Distributed Computing
